Theatre Momentum
Studio
TM has opened our new rehearsal studio at the
Cornelia Arts Building (1800 W.
Cornelia Ave). We have three studios available for rent at the cheapest rates in
Chicago: Just $10/hour.
New space coming in July! TM has just signed a lease on a third rehearsal studio in the Cornelia Arts Building. Our new space will open July 8th, and the schedule for this space is fairly open. It's a large, 750 square-foot studio which we may eventually divide into two spaces. So, that opens up a whole new calendar of availability. See the Studio C calendar, below, for the availability.
FREE Space for you!
Theatre Momentum is looking for interns to help keep
up the studios, help with the build-out, and generally help out with
TM's operations. If you'd like to intern, you can get free space for
your group to rehearse at the TM Studio, and/or free passes to TM's
Perpetual Motion Workshop series. Email
info@theatremomentum.com for more details.

Frequently asked questions:
What is your availability on ___ date?
Feel free to look through our calendar, above, before emailing us
about rental availability. The calendar is updated before any
reservation is complete, so if it's not listed on the schedule, it's
very likely available.
Do certain renters get priority in the schedule?
Yes. Long-term renters (those blocking out 3 months or longer) get
priority over everyone else. Beyond that, it's all first-come,
first-served.
Do you have daytime weekday availability?
Yes! We have tons. Most of our renters are daytimes on the
weekends and evenings during the week, so the weekday daytimes are
usually very open.
Is music allowed? As there are two spaces and other people in the building, we try to
keep the noise level to a minimum. We request that no bands or
musicals rehearse in our space, so as to not disturb other renters
or other residents in the building.
Can I rent your space out for other events aside from rehearsals?
Yes, of course. You cannot rent it for performances, as we do not
have the proper licenses for that, but if you have, for instance, a
yoga class or an art class or art opening you'd like to host there,
you are welcome to rent from us. No parties, though, sorry.
I host
a dance group or a yoga class. Can we use your studio?
You are
welcome to use the studio, but we must warn you, the floors are just
laminate tile, nothing like a sprung wood floor or anything, so keep
that in mind.
If you're interested in getting yourself a nice, inexpensive, and
easy-to-get-to space for your rehearsals, please fill out the
details below, or email us at
