Ensemble
Rehearsals
Rehearsals Mondays, 7-10, January 24-February 14
All
performers must attend these rehearsals, intended as a
"getting to know you" period for the ensemble and the directors.
Players will get time to learn one another's strengths and
weaknesses, how each ensemble member plays, as well as how Tony and
Henri direct, as we prepare to go into individual show rehearsals.
Please note: While you are expected to participate in all three
productions, you are not required to perform in every show. A minimum of
10 performances per production(of 15 performances) is encouraged.
Shows
Before and After
Director:
Tony Rielage
Rehearsals- Mondays, 7-10, February 21-April 11
Performances- Thursdays-Saturdays, 8 PM, April 14-May 15
This show
will explore the development of the main characters in the aftermath
of a life-changing event, played out onstage simultaneously with the
story that led them to the event in the first place. Actors will
flesh out both stories in parallel, until the life-changing event is
reached and a conclusion to the aftermath story is reached.
University of____
Director:
Henri Dugas IV
Rehearsals- Mondays, 7-10, May 16-July 18
no
rehearsal 5/30 (Memorial Day) or 7/4 (Independence Day)
Performances- Thursdays-Saturdays, 8 PM, July 21-August 20
This show
will be a serial improvised production, with every actor creating
roles during the rehearsal process that they will maintain
throughout the production. Each performance will explore one or two
characters as the overall story progresses. Every show will impact
the storyline of the shows that follow it, and this structure will
allow the actors to flesh out their character fully.
Voyeur
Director:
Tony Rielage
Assistant
Director: Henri Dugas IV
Rehearsals- Mondays, 7-10, August 22-October 10
No
rehearsal 9/5 (Labor Day)
Performances- Thursdays-Saturdays, 8 PM, October 13-November 12
This
performance will take place in several different locations of the
theater simultaneously, with all the actors playing out different
parts of the same story in real time. The audience may roam from one
area to another, deciding which part of the story or actors they
wish to watch, while missing out on the story that is going on
elsewhere. In this way, the audience (and players) will only be able
to infer what has occurred in another room/area of the theater. |
